Top Ten Posts of 2020

Today, we’re sharing our Top Ten Posts of 2020!

Each year, we take a deep dive into our analytics to see which posts resonated with you.

While we monitor our analytics from month to month, the data we collect at the end of December helps us determine and plan out the type of posts we share in the coming year.

Most of the time, I can predict which posts will make the top ten list.  But this year, there were definitely a few surprises.

Normally, I would say I hate surprises, but these are the good surprises that keep me on my creative toes ?

Speaking of which, the top From the Front Porch post was the one I shared I had created a work uniform to help streamline decision fatigue in the mornings.

I was blown away by your response because I didn’t think you’d be interested and I was SO close to not even sharing ?

Here’s a look at the Top Ten Posts of 2020…

#10 – Spring Flowers Inspired Tablescape & Blog Hop

Fall is my favorite season of the year, but Spring runs a close second. I literally have to stop myself from making the house look like a flower shop because I love flowers so much despite horrible allergies.

This tablescape and blog hop was a fun one because it was the first time I had ever participated with this particular group so it was great to see it make the top ten posts of 2020 list.

#9 – Master Bedroom Refresh Reveal & Spring Nesting Blog Hop

This master bedroom makeover came at just the right time!

We were settling into our “new normal” and the soft pops of color felt like a fresh way to usher in the summer season.

#8 – Elegant Fall Front Porch & World of Octobers Blog Hop

I’m not surprised at all to see our fall porch tour make the top ten posts of 2020 list! It’s one of our favorite places to decorate each season and one of our topped pinned posts every year.

#7 – Simple Spring Porch Tour & Easter Blog Hop

I was super surprised to see this porch tour make the top ten posts of 2020 list. I remember putting the post together and being totally bummed the flowers around the door weren’t blooming.

The garden center is usually brimming with all sorts of goodies each Spring.

But this year, due to the pandemic, people were planting all sorts of fun things in their flower beds and container gardens.  There was hardly anything to choose from when we got there.

#6Chocolate Covered Snowflake Oreo Cookies

I’m always surprised when holiday content like this makes the top ten lists because it’s at the end of the year and doesn’t have as much time to “pick up steam” as some of the posts shared at the beginning of the year.

That said, these 2 ingredient snowflake cookies couldn’t have been easier to put together. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for projects like these that are quick and easy.

#5 – The Crowned Goat Cottage Shed Makeover Reveal

This post was a labor of love both physically and emotionally.  And I am over the moon to see this project make the top ten posts of 2020 list.

Without a doubt, had you guys not been so supportive each week I might not have finished on time or at all. It was such a tough project to get through.

Literally every day I get to work out there, I’m thankful for your love, support, kindness, and encouragement.  It made a huge difference!

#4Glass Glitter Snowflake Ornaments

These glass glitter ornaments were so much fun to make. I immediately wanted to buy more glass glitter the minute I ran out.

Looking back, I can’t believe how long I saved the glass glitter waiting for a “special occasion.” It was a good lesson though because I’ll never do that again ?

#3 – DIY French Country Bookends

I was tickled pink to see these French country bookends make the top ten posts of 2020 list!

I’m so thankful my Mom talked me into getting them because I was really close to passing them up altogether.  They started out a crazy chocolate brown and the transformation was drastic.

#2 – Silhouette Cross Stitch on Canvas & Spring Nesting Blog Hop

Of all the posts on the list, this is the one that shocks me the most.  Never in a million years did I imagine you guys would be interested in seeing projects like this.

Now that I know though, I’m on the hunt for kits and ideas that are readily available. It’s definitely one of those hobbies that would be fun to learn and create together.

#1 – Easy Tips for Styling a Bookcase & Lifestyle of Love Blog Hop

Styling bookcases and hutches are one of my most requested topics. So, I wasn’t surprised to see this one on the list at all.

My Mom is so good at it, I sort of just walk away and let her do her thing. While she wasn’t available to help me style this post, I’ve learned so much from watching her technique and was happy to be able to share a few tips with you.

We already have several shelf styling posts like this on the books for next year which should be fun!

So, there you have it, the top ten posts of 2020! Did your favorite make the list?

As always if there is anything specific you want to see more of please let us know. We’re always open to your ideas and suggestions!

Many blessings,

CoCo
